The battle for the grand prizes of Toyota Rav4 and N3 million cash offered by the telecoms giant, Globacom in the reality TV show, Dance with Peter, has commenced in earnest.Last Friday, six finalists emerged from the first audition of the show, which held at the Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
The ‘lucky six’ shortlisted for the finals billed for Lagos are 24- year-old professional dancer, Yemi Afolabi Osokoya; National Open University undergraduate, Miracle Chinonso Nelson, 21; Architect Mariam Ahmed; Ibrahim Afeez Abiodun; Amenze Blessing Omoregie, and an all male dance troupe, ElevatorzNg comprises of Atuonwu Samson, Kelvin Anyaruoh, Jekeygreen Emmanuel, Michael Atuonwu, and Godrich Olokor Ogenebroze, who are all Theatre and Cultural Studies undergraduates of Nasarawa State University.
The finalists will compete with others who will emerge from Ghana, Port Harcourt, Lagos, and Benin auditions. The first runner-up at the grand finale will smile home with a Honda Civic car and N2 million, 2nd runner-up will get a Kia Rio car with N1 million while both of them will enjoy the rare privilege of featuring in a top Glo ambassadors’ music videos.
The audition train moved to the prestigious National Theatre, South Liberia Road, Accra, on September 1 and will be followed by Benin, Edo State today at the Oba Akenzua Cultural Center, Airport Road, Benin City. Lagos is next in line on Tuesday, September 8, at Bamako Studios, 1 Bamako Street, Ojodu, Lagos. However, final audition for the reality dance show will hold at the Atrium Event Centre, Stadium Road, Port Harcourt on September 10.
According to Glo, talented dancers who desire to participate in the show are required to register by sending ‘DANCE’ to the short code 55517 in Nigeria and 3030 in Ghana through their Glo lines.
